3D Printing

Students will learn new 3D printing design skills for more complex 3D objects. Students import a personalized drawing and print that drawing using a 3D printer. (Chromebooks will provided)

Animation Creation

10:00 - 10:50  Grades: 3rd - 8th

Students will be able to explore character design and the animation process. The animators will be able to make their own cartoon characters come to life by using various animation apps. They will also get to use digital tools like Wacom drawing tablets and collaborate with one another to come up with a common theme. At the end of the session, their cartoon clips will be compiled and  posted on www.mrbelonio.weebly.com.

Prerequisites – Students who have taken Cartoon Creations class and/or good knowledge of digital art apps (ArtStudio, iMotion, FlipAClip, etc.) Materials: Students should bring their own iPad or/ Tablet, drawing stylus is recommended.

Cartoon Creations

In this class, students will explore the world of cartooning. Students will get to create their own unique cartoon characters and settings. Projects will involve comic strips, animation cels, working with cartooning apps on the iPad, and flipbooks. No prerequisite – this class is for any student interested in learning cartooning.

CNC - Wood and Plastic Carving Class (Carvey)

Carve out some time for this class! Students will learn how to design using Easel software.  So, put your creativity to the test and create projects such as signs or objects can then be carved out on materials such as wood or plastic. Students will be able to take home at least 2 projects.

Explore the world of icing decorating and fondant and have lots of fun along the way. This class will offer some super colorful, fun, and creative ways to decorate cupcakes. Your child will leave each class with 2 hand decorated cupcakes and the skills to decorate their own at home.

No previous experience required.

Each uplifting class will include various forms of fitness that will be presented through creative group games allowing participants to problem solve and work together as a team.  This high-energy change of pace class will allow kids and teens to be themselves and make new friends while also building confidence and social skills. Although team activities are a aspect of our field day- This will be a celebrated class teaching the importance of sportsmanship in a welcoming environment. Activities include but are not limited to- relay races, obstacle courses, running, games that focus on motor skills/agility, build strength.

Class will begin and end with dynamic stretching to prevent injury.

Dress Requirements: Gym shoes and comfortable gym clothing.
