For kids who love to design, build, create, invent and innovate!  Each class will feature a different design challenge.  From testing the strength of different shaped columns to drawing floor plans to designing roller coasters, this class is filled with super cool, hands-on creative projects!

Coding for Beginners

Students in this beginners coding class will learn how to understand basic code and create codes on their own. Using the apps Kodable, Osmo, and Scratch Jr. students will practice with coding challenges and begin developing codes that allow characters to move and talk. Students will also work on some unplugged activities which will consists of paper and pencil coding activities.

(Students will need to bring their 1:1 iPad device)

Explore the world of icing decorating and fondant and have lots of fun along the way. This class will offer some super colorful, fun, and creative ways to decorate cupcakes. Your child will leave each class with 2 hand decorated cupcakes and the skills to decorate their own at home.

No previous experience required.

Each uplifting class will include various forms of fitness that will be presented through creative group games allowing participants to problem solve and work together as a team.  This high-energy change of pace class will allow kids and teens to be themselves and make new friends while also building confidence and social skills. Although team activities are a aspect of our field day- This will be a celebrated class teaching the importance of sportsmanship in a welcoming environment. Activities include but are not limited to- relay races, obstacle courses, running, games that focus on motor skills/agility, build strength.

Class will begin and end with dynamic stretching to prevent injury.

Dress Requirements: Gym shoes and comfortable gym clothing.

Gummi bears… …bratwurst…Kindergarten… saying “Gesundheit” when someone sneezes…all of these things are originally German. You probably didn’t even know that you can already speak some German! Join a lively class to learn German language and culture this fall. We will learn how to introduce ourselves and to use some basic phrases, understand how the alphabet and words sound different in German, as well as learn vocabulary about weather, colors, food, sports, and holidays through games, songs, interactive items, and guided practice.
